Barra Honda National Park, in Guanacaste, is unique in Costa Rica for its complex system of underground limestone caves, approximately 50% of which have been explored.
Only the Terciopelo Cave is open to the public with an authorized guide. The park also offers trails, a lookout point, dry forest, and wildlife, providing a truly distinctive experience on the Nicoya Peninsula.
